We’re thrilled to share that our 5th grade student leaders submitted a video to WinterKids and won! WinterKids is a nonprofit organization that promotes outdoor winter activity for children and families across Maine through a variety of seasonal programs—often referred to collectively as the “WinterKids Maine Winter Games.” These initiatives include opportunities like the WinterKids Passport, discounted or free access to winter gear and lift tickets, and special events that encourage kids to get outside and stay active in the winter months.
Our school has qualified for the Winter Games Competitive Track which gives our school the chance to earn cash prizes—up to $5,000—by getting students, staff, and the wider community involved in healthy outdoor activities. Schools earn points each week by completing activities outlined in the program’s rubrics. This program runs from January 12-February 6.
